Need and the Importance of education

Introduction

Nobody can deny the importance and necessity of education. That was the education that made an ill literate nation the owner of the “Khana Kaba”. Education gives strength to reason and helpful in achieving a decent lifestyle. Education gives us the knowledge to identify the marks in nature and broads our perspective about life.  It gives us to identify our rights. There is no doubt that any nation’s development depends on its adoption of modern methods of education. Islamic history bears witness to this that  Muslims ascended and prospered in the world by changing in education and training among them and when Muslims turned away from the education they had suffered a decline. Knowledge is the greatest power. The biggest army can't do that can be done with the help of knowledge. The example of this is that creation of Pakistan was possible only when we moved forward in education. The War of Independence of 1857 did not make us forget freedom. Freedom granted when we successfully treated educational institutions and raised our educational level to cope with the conspiracies of our enemies. Another example is Columbus when he succeeded in getting control of a wild nation on the strength of his knowledge. When he claimed a Solar eclipse based on his knowledge then the nation got him as their king. This is the power of knowledge.

Pakistan’s Current Scenario

Internationally, Pakistan is considered an insecure country because none of our institutions is safe from terrorism whether it is schools, banks, hospitals, or police academies. Enemy forces want to weaken the country by making children suspicious of education and unfortunately, there are people in our country who deprived of education to the children of their area for their own benefit. This is also a form of education animosity that must be eradicated. Another problem that we are facing inappropriate policies and lack of accountability that leads to a lower level of education which can result in the international decline for us.

The need of the Hour               

We must bring such an education system that could unite our society. There is a need to introduce ourselves to new ways and languages in order to improve Pakistan's image at the international level. English is the second largest spoken language in the world and unfortunately, we find it very difficult to read and speak English. In fact, it is not, learning and speaking English is not a difficult task. Native English speakers do not use any rules to convey their message however; non-natives may have to follow certain rules. So, in this regard, we should have excellent command.

Polices of Education

Policy formulation in another aspect that needs to be addressed. Unfortunately, Pakistan does not have properly educated faculty to map out the polices. The members that involve in policymaking do not have any close link to education so how they can make effective policy. The ground people must be included in the policy formulation process because they know the problems very rooted and can purpose better methods to sort out these problems. The best option for this is the right man for the right place. We should work honestly so that our counter meets the international level of education.
